Claire’s success story

FROM NO WHERE TO SOME WHERE AND TO A PROMISING BRIGHT FUTURE IS WHERE BCICI AND ENGONZI LEADS ITS CHILDREN

My name is Claire a single parented girl aged 19 yrs living in Kyenjojo District. We are Ugandans by nationality and am currently in Senior Five year 2026.

A hint on my background story:
Before the coming of BCICI and Engonzi support club, a miserable life I lived with love for education but no school fees, scholastic materials and basic needs. Hardworking life I lived but no gain, promise and change I could make. In the darkness I walked, poor structured shelter I could sleep a sleepless night, going to school in the morning but be sent back home for school fees as the rest classmates are studying.

On reaching home, the story is hard to tell since my parent had no any monthly pay or income generated job but body structures of both of us the head, legs and arms could bare the consequences of thinking what to do to get the needs, where to go and get some and what work should we do to fulfil our needs? Such questions remained in minds and no one I could tell except God the creator of heaven and earth knew since he is able to see in people’s minds. What a miserable life my life was!
Our family was termed as a backgrounded family, and people never expected any good to come from it. Whenever I could walk, most people could wish to be in their homes as a house maid since they were seeing nothing in me, but a good house maid is what I deserved. What a terrible and risky plan they had for me was! Actually, nowhere I and my family was. The story is so long to tell and if I write it all I will become an author of a thousand books because it is too long.

But all I had to say was this:
Listen to my words, O Lord and hear my sighs
Listen to my cries for help my God and King
I pray to you O Lord, You hear my voice
in the morning, at sun rise I offer my prayer
and wait for your answer.
Psalms 5: 1-3

THE LOVE OF BUTIITI CHILDREN IN CHRIST INITIATIVE AND ENGONZI SUPPORT CLUB IS ENCOURAGING MY LIFE TO MOVE FORWARD.

The coming of BCICI and Engonzi support club became an answer to my prayer and had to change my background story. The good things you have provided to my family such as the house, kitchen, water tank, solar and other personal needs like beds, mattress, blanket, books and pens made a good change in my life. The school fees you are paying is encouraging towards my education from Senior two up to Senior Five where I am now offering BCA/SUBMATHS/GP as my combination targeting to become a nurse. I pray God’s intervention on knowledge and understanding so that I will never disappoint my donors because the way you are paving for me is unable to tell to any on earth but God alone, I can tell to give you blessings. May he grant you everlasting life because there is a promising and bright future you are paving for my life although my journey is continuing, I pray for God’s intervention up to a successful end.

I also not forget to pray for the fellow students who are still facing the challenges I have gone through, I pray for them also to have the same chance I am having so that they are encouraged in their education. May Almighty God listen to their prayers too.
I send special thanks to the founders of BCICI and the Engonzi support club, to their parents and all people in Uganda and abroad who have been working and are still doing the same working hand in hand to build up and strengthen the organisation and also in distributing the necessary needs to us. I love you so much and say thank you very much.

I also send special thanks to the BCICI and Engonzi support club for supporting my hand craft making through buying the baskets I have been making, and this has enabled provide some of my personal needs. The good things you have done for us, I my parents and siblings we offer to you thanks from the bottom of our hearts and pray God to grant you more and more blessings that come like dues from heaven.

From Kamakune Claire.

Daniel’s success story

Daniels transformation

Greetings from Daniel to Engonzi Support Club and Butiiti Children in Christ Initiative (BCICI).

I am a student of St Mary’s Minor Seminary Virika. I am in Senior three currently. I am 18 years old. I live in Rubona village, Kyenjojo district.

Before you started supporting me, I used to encounter many challenges which included the following:
Studying in a rural school which resulted into poor performance.
– I used to walk long distance to go to school.
– I used to sleep on dry banana leaves on the floor.
– I could walk long distances to get water which was not even clean.

Using paraffin lamps to get light for reading books which also put my eyes at risks of being destroyed.

Now that ENGONZI SUPPORT CLUB and BUTIITI CHILDREN IN CHRIST INITIATIVE (BCICI) started supporting me, the problems I used to encounter were solved.

– I now study in a boarding school.
– I no longer walk to go to school, and I am in a town school which have improved my performance. And my school fees are paid in time.
– I now sleep on a nice bed with a nice mattress, bedsheets, blanket. I am happy because of that.

My problem of walking long distances to get water was solved in a special way. I thank DIETER ROOS who gave me a water tank which has solved the problem above. Thank you so much, may God bless you abundantly wherever you are.
The club supported me with a solar system which has helped me to get light that is sustainable but also light that do not put my eyes in danger.

I am looking forward to receiving more of your support as I continue with my studies. May God bless you and give you good health and peace.
I remain ATEGEKA DANIEL, to live more abundantly, St Mary’s Seminary Virika.

Desire’s success story

Freedom to learn: Desire’s path

Dear Butiiti Children in Christ initiative and Engonzi support club,

My name is Desire, 18 years of age and I am in senior four studying from Butiiti centenary secondary school and I am writing to thank you and share how your support has changed my life:

Before, every day after school I would go home tired and face the same struggle: no money for school fees, so I was sent home often. Then I had to walk far to fetch water because the well was a long distance from my home. It was heavy, both physically and mentally, and I felt like giving up.

Now things are different. You stepped in and started paying my school fees, you also gave me a tank and same applying to my fellows in Butiiti children in Christ initiative and Engonzi support club. So, I no longer have to walk far for water. Because of you and I can now focus on my future.

My goal is to become an accountant. I want to finish studies, build a stable career, and become self-reliant. But I also want to help other children who are still facing what I faced.
Thank you for giving me a chance. You have taken the burden off me, and i promise to work hard to honour your investment and lift others up in future.

With sincere gratitude
A.D

Joel’s success story

MY SUCCESS STORY

My name is Joel, a 19 year old student, and I’m writing to share how Butiiti children in Christ initiative and Engonzi support club saved my studying which was almost ending.

Growing up in a very poor family with no biological parents, education seemed like a distant dream. I was constantly chased out of school for not paying school fees, sometimes spending weeks at home. I lacked almost everything: no uniform, no books, no bed to sleep on and barely any food to eat at lunch time at school and also safe water at home for domestic use. It was a tough time!

But everything changed when Butiiti children in Christ initiative and Engonzi support club stepped in. They paid my school fees, bought me a uniform, essentials like a mattress, blanket, a bed and a pair of bed sheets were also provided to me. I was given a study light for provision of light during study times at home, they paid my lunch at school and also provide a water tank at home that helped us to reduce on the long journeys we used to move looking for home water which was a problem and then got solved. These have now improved my life and studying compared to the past life.

I was in senior one then and now I’m in senior four, still studying, thanks to their support. My dream is to continue to A ‘level then to the university and become a surgical doctor in future. When I do, I want to pay it forward by helping Butiiti children in Christ initiative and Engonzi support club support more students like me.

I’m grateful for their compassion and I hope they will keep helping others.
Sincerely, Mutegeki Joel

Jordan’s success story

IMPACT OF EDUCATION SUPPORT ON MY EDUCATIONAL JOURNEY

My name is Mukanyezi Jordan, I am 19 years old and a beneficiary of the education sponsorship programme provided by the Butiiti children in Christ initiative and the Engonzi Support Club in Germany. I would like to sincerely share how the support has transformed my educational journey in an environment where education in Uganda has become increasingly expensive for many families.

Before receiving support from the Butiiti children in Christ initiative and Engonzi Support Club, continuing with school was a major challenge due to lack of school fees and basic scholastic materials. At times it was really uncertain whether I would complete any level of education. However, with the generous BCICI and Engonzi Support Club, I was able to receive full support including school fees, scholastic materials and other essential learning requirements. This greatly reduced the burden on my family and allowed me to focus on my education.

As a result of the support, I have successfully completed my primary level of education where I scored aggregate 14, I got aggregate 15 in my “O” level and 17 points in my “A” level and I am looking forward to joining Kyambogo University to pursue a degree and I want to become a Civil Engineer. This achievement was once uncertain, but with continued assistance, I gained stability in my studies and improved my academic performance. I became more consistent in attendance and more confident in my studies.

The support has not only helped me personally but also has motivated me to aim higher in my education. It has given me hope for a better future. I am now determined to continue working hard to make most out of the opportunity I have been given.

To sum it up, I sincerely appreciate our sponsors for their generosity and commitment. Their support has changed my life by enabling me to complete levels of my education, advance to the next stage and gain stability in my academic journey. I am truly grateful and I hope to one day give back to the community and support others just as I have been supported.
