Education project 2021-2023
We received sponsorship of 30.000 Euro from the Association called “Missionskreis Region Maria Rast” from Germany, represented by Mrs. Sophie Thyrian.
They are supporting the education of 15 orphans and vulnerable children in Butiiti for three years. It started in January 2021 and it will go on until December 2023. The supported children are aged between 4 to 21 Years.
All the children receive school fees, scholastic materials, school uniforms and a warm lunch at school.
Update 05.01.23
Beginning of January 2023 Sr. Lidwina from Communio in Christo e.V. Mechernich, Germany visited Butiiti to meet the children supported by the project and inform about progress and developments.
Sr. Lidwina was welcomed by children and their families with traditional songs and dances.
The children were happy to perform some of the traditional music and dance.
